Are you ready?

“Are you ready?” was one of my first projects as a student. It’s a very short experimental film that accompanies a text written that was based on an individual’s experience with life after sexual assault. The text itself was experimental so it seemed only right to accompany it with experimental shots, but with a spin of contrast on it. The text consists of a series of words spoken with varying degrees of affiliation with the traumatic event, while the imagery is rooted in things that bring respite from the trauma. It’s voiced by & stars the author of the text.
